Several! Canvas Holidays' and camp site staff very good. Re the accommodation: 1. European electricity sockets. We were given no warning of this. Luckily, we had our own adaptor/convertor. In the past, when booking such accommodation via a British company and website, UK fittings have been the norm. 2. Only one frying pan, no proper bread knife (in France???), tiny espresso style coffee cups. We had to buy our own decent sized cups. 3. No oven! Real cooks do not use a microwave!! 4. Crockery storage and access was quite inaccessible, and directly above the gas hob. This meant that one might have needed to stretch over open flames. Also, there was a power socket in the same cupboard, meaning electric wiring might have been exposed to open flames. We, naturally, shifted everything and didn't use the socket! 5. We were very disappointed in that the outside seating and table consisted of a wooden park style picnic table. Very, very uncomfortable. Impossible to relax in. Difficult to get into for two senior citizens. We were provided with one odd plastic chair, and a second on request. 6. Decking and wooden steps in poor condition in places. Will possibly be a hazard in the not too distant future. This was reported the camp staff. .
The van was in very poor shape and needed several repairs done. These were partially completed. Cigarette ends littered outer approach to the van. The park was tired and all grass and hedges had not been cut in ages. No bread or croissants available on site. The site and van did not live up in any way to the description provided by the young salesman when we booked it.
